SGM

DRILLING WASTE MANAGEMENT AND SOLIDS CONTROL

SGM employs a zero discharged operation flow chart for drilling waste management that ensures careful handling and processing of waste generated during drilling activities. The process begins at the rig or well where oil sludge and drill cuttings are produced. These wastes are then stored safely in designated areas.

The Oil Sludge Treatment Unit (OSTU) separates crude oil from sludge and drill cuttings. Following separation, the Induction Thermal Desorption Unit (ITDU) treats the solids, making them environmentally safe for disposal. The processed waste is then disposed of at approved landfill sites. This system enables effective recovery of oil and safe disposal of remaining materials, minimizing environmental impact and supporting sustainable drilling operations.
